God’s Grace In Battle
God’s Grace In Battle
You armed me with strength for battle.
Psalm 18:39
Understanding that God is light literally changed my life. I finally understood that a God without any darkness is a God who has nothing to hide from me. He cannot hurt me, and He will not hurt me. Unlike broken people, He does not have a dark side, so I can completely trust Him. His light enables me to walk through dark places with confidence that the darkness will not last forever. I no longer need to cover up, hide, or try to escape reality. I no longer need to shrink back from whatever God uncovers, no matter how painful, because I know that what He reveals is for my good—for my healing and freedom.
Yes, I will have to battle darkness in this life (2 Corinthians 10:3–5). But the God of grace battles with me and for me. He helps me do what I need to do: make wise choices, focus my thoughts, pray fervently, trust in Him.
God wants the revelation of His bright light to flood your soul. Let this same understanding that freed me free you. I know that you can trust Him. He is good. He does good. He is for your good.
And He will never leave us to fight alone (Deuteronomy 31:6).
Thank You, gracious Lord, for the light of Your presence when darkness falls and the battle rages. Thank You for fighting for me and for equipping me every day.
