Choosing Worship
Choosing Worship
Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness.
Psalm 29:2
I don’t know what giants you’re facing, but I do know that God is bigger than any situation you could ever face. (Read that sentence again!) Problems that seem overwhelming can look quite small in light of God’s greatness.
When faith-shakers arise—when crises or challenges come—boost your ability to see God’s hugeness by worshiping Him. Regardless of your circumstances, declare God’s greatness, praise His goodness, and celebrate His faithfulness. Even though your circumstances may not change immediately, your heart may now know hope, and your perspective on both the present and the future includes God. Choose to look up to the Lord and into His Word.
When you look to your great and glorious and trustworthy God, those life situations are less likely to steal your peace. Whatever the size of your challenge, He is bigger. Your loving God wants the best for you, and He is at work doing something you cannot yet see—something that will amaze you when all becomes clear.
Lord, when faith-shakers come, please remind me how big You are. I look ahead expectant of all the good that You are accomplishing.
