No Hell

No Hell

There is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.

Romans 8:1

A precious friend called me and shared that she had attended a Christmas pageant that included young children singing. One little girl seemed to overpower some of the other children on the chorus of “The First Noel.” Instead of singing the word Noel four times, she was belting out, “No hell, no hell, no hell, no hell! Born is the King of Israel!”

Afterward, the girl’s mother asked her why she was singing that. She replied wisely, “When Jesus is in your heart, you don’t go to hell.” Oh, that simple fact, straight from the mouth of a babe, makes me want to belt out her words too!

What a cause for rejoicing on Christ’s birthday, which we celebrate at Christmas. There is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. He came as the greatest gift to mankind—a free gift, which cannot be earned. We have direct access to a holy God because Jesus died on the cross to pay for all of our sin—our decision to go our own way instead of His way. His purpose in being born was to die on the cross for our sin and be raised to life so we could live forever with Him. All we have to do is open the gift of Jesus by faith and ask Him to forgive us of our sin and come into our life.

He designed this whole eternal plan with His great love for us in mind. Since the beginning of time, He knew He’d make a way for us to avoid hell. Through Christ’s sacrifice, there is no hell for a believer in Him. He wants us to be assured that when we die we will see Him in heaven. If you have not trusted in Christ, don’t wait any longer!

Wherever you are, by faith in Christ, be assured of your eternal destination with Him and rejoice that there will be no hell for you.
