Meditation Moment: Psalm 73
Meditation Moment: Psalm 73
Whom have I in heaven but you? I desire you more than anything on earth. My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever.
Psalm 73:25-26
Forever. Have you ever tried to really think about forever? Take a minute and try. It can be kind of frustrating because your mind doesn’t have a place to stop and rest as it thinks about eternity.
Some people believe that when we die, that’s it. Everything is over—the end. But those who trust in the Lord know something different. We get to be with God in heaven forever and ever and ever! Our relationship with God never ends because he never ends. You aren’t going to wake up one morning and say, “Something’s different. Oh, it must be time for God to end his relationship with me.”
God is there. He’ll never go away or leave. He is always available to be your strength.
Before you meditate today, don’t forget to pray and ask God to open your heart and mind to his truth that’s found in Psalm 73:25-26. Then after you read it through, wait on God and see what he says to you. Whether it’s a phrase, a picture, or an idea, write it down.
Girl Gab: Talk to your mom about these verses, and ask her what truth stands out to her when she reads them or meditates on them. Praise God for eternal life!
