How do I surrender my life to God?

God’s Response

May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done here on earth, just as it is in heaven. Matthew 6:10

What you ought to say is, “If the Lord wants us to, we will live and do this or that.” James 4:15

This world is fading away, along with everything it craves. But if you do the will of God, you will live forever. 1 John 2:17

To surrender your life to God, you must put his will above your own. God’s will is simply what God wants for you, and this is clearly written in the Bible. Consider everything you plan or do through the filter of the Scriptures. Do your intentions contradict what God says in his Word? Is it right or wrong? Does it serve others or self? Consider your plans through prayer. Do you feel at peace about them when talking to God? When you seek God first in all things, your life will be surrendered to him.

God’s Promise

He will give you all you need from day to day if you live for him and make the Kingdom of God your primary concern. Matthew 6:33
