Abundance

What is the abundance that God wants me to experience?

God’s Response

May you experience the love of Christ, though it is so great you will never fully understand it. Then you will be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Ephesians 3:19

You feed them from the abundance of your own house, letting them drink from your rivers of delight. Psalm 36:8

May you overflow with hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

Too often we define abundance quantitatively by how many possessions or how much financial wealth we have. Instead, we should think of abundance as God does —the marvelous gift of salvation and eternal life; the blessing of a relationship with the Creator of the universe; the treasure of God’s Word; and the wonderful character traits of godliness, truth, wisdom, and a good reputation. These riches are lasting and priceless, and this abundance is guaranteed by our obedience.

God’s Promise

If you give, you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full measure, pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, and running over. Luke 6:38
