How can I be more joyful?

God’s Response

Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again —rejoice! Philippians 4:4

I am overcome with joy because of your unfailing love, for you have seen my troubles, and you care about the anguish of my soul. Psalm 31:7

Always be joyful. 1 Thessalonians 5:16

There are areas of the Christian life that are very serious —confronting sin and its consequences, church discipline, fighting evil. But there is also great delight in knowing that the God of the universe loves us, has a plan for us, and has made this wonderful world for us. He tells us to serve him enthusiastically. The Bible urges us to serve God with all of our being, with an enthusiasm that comes from deep within our hearts and souls. Joy and enthusiasm light the fire of service.

God’s Promise

You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him, you trust him; and even now you are happy with a glorious, inexpressible joy. 1 Peter 1:8
