How can I show hospitality to others?

God’s Response

Cheerfully share your home with those who need a meal or a place to stay. 1 Peter 4:9

“My lords,” he said, “come to my home to wash your feet, and be my guests for the night. You may then get up in the morning as early as you like and be on your way again.” Genesis 19:2

The man went home with Laban, and Laban unloaded the camels, gave him straw to bed them down, fed them, and provided water for the camel drivers to wash their feet. Genesis 24:32

The basics of good hospitality —a place to stay and food to eat —are simple acts of kindness that you can offer to anyone. Being hospitable is a way to obey and serve God, because God calls us to love and serve others as though we were serving him. When we care for the physical needs of others, we are serving Jesus as if he were our guest.

Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it! Hebrews 13:2
