What are the standards against which I should compare myself?

As the Spirit of the Lord works within us, we become more and more like him and reflect his glory even more. 2 Corinthians 3:18

Yes, dear friends, we are already God’s children, and we can’t even imagine what we will be like when Christ returns. But we do know that when he comes we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is. 1 John 3:2

It’s not really helpful to compare yourself to other people, because God created each person as a unique individual with their own gifts and talents. Jesus is the ultimate standard of a good person. No one can fully measure up to Jesus because he is perfect, but you can try to be as much like him as possible. When you give up everything to be like Jesus, you are consumed with being godly, which will lead you into doing what is good and right. Don’t compare yourself with other people —concentrate on being the best Christian you can be.

Just as we are now like Adam, the man of the earth, so we will someday be like Christ, the man from heaven. 1 Corinthians 15:49
