World Peace

World Peace

Is there any hope for world peace?

God’s Response

God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God. Matthew 5:9

A child is born to us, a son is given to us. . . . And he will be called: . . . Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

The LORD will mediate between peoples and will settle disputes between strong nations far away. They will hammer their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will no longer fight against nation, nor train for war anymore. Micah 4:3

War is an inevitable consequence of human sin. Christians are called to work and pray for peace in the world. Chances are, however, that world peace is hopeless, and sometimes peace can only be obtained by means of war. However, God does promise a time when all wars will stop. You can trust that when Jesus—the Prince of Peace—returns, there will be peace forever.

This Is Promising

Since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Romans 5:1
