God’s Response

“The message is very close at hand; it is on your lips and in your heart.” And that message is the very message about faith that we preach: If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. . . . For “Everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved.” Romans 10:8-10, 13

Salvation may be an obscure religious word, but for the Christian, it is actually a very simple concept. People think that it must be a complicated process, but it is not. Salvation is available to anyone, regardless of social standing, race, financial status, past problems, or fears. When people believe in their hearts and say with their mouths that Christ is the risen Lord, they will be saved. Just be sincere—all he wants is your heart.

This Is Promising

The Lord . . . does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent. 2 Peter 3:9
