How can I be sure that I will have eternal life?

God’s Response

Soon the world will no longer see me, but you will see me. Since I live, you also will live. John 14:19

Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die.” John 11:25-26

In fact, Christ has been raised from the dead. He is the first of a great harvest of all who have died. 1 Corinthians 15:20

This is a tough question. First consider this question: Can you believe that Jesus was God’s Son, that he lived a perfect life on earth, died on the cross to pay for your sins, and rose from the dead? If you can believe all this about Jesus, then you have no reason to doubt his promises to you. He promised eternal life to all believers, and he proved it by his ability to overcome death.
