Top Priority

How can I make God my highest priority?

God’s Response

Now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you? He requires only that you fear the LORD your God, and live in a way that pleases him, and love him and serve him with all your heart and soul. And you must always obey the LORD’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good. Deuteronomy 10:12-13

As for me and my family, we will serve the LORD. Joshua 24:15

Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be. Luke 12:34

If God is the center of your life, you will make your relationship with him your highest priority. You will spend time in prayer and Bible reading, your thoughts will turn increasingly to God, you will begin wanting to please him, and you will want to obey God’s Word more. When you are doing these things, you are keeping God as your highest priority. You can tell how you are progressing by noticing how you spend your time each day.

This Is Promising

You must not have any other god but me. Exodus 20:3
