In Balance

In Balance

How can I keep my life balanced?

God’s Response

For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven. Ecclesiastes 3:1

You have six days each week for your ordinary work, but on the seventh day you must stop working, even during the seasons of plowing and harvest. Exodus 34:21

Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. Matthew 6:33

Three things can help you balance your life. First, make spending daily time with God your top priority. Only when you put God first will you understand how to use the rest of your time. Second, keep track of how you spend your time for a week. This will quickly show what takes up most of your day. If one activity begins to dominate your time, it may be out of control and you will feel overwhelmed. Finally, understand that you may have to say “no” to some things so you can focus on accomplishing the more important things. Even Jesus had to leave some things undone so he could complete what God wanted him to do.
