The End Of Death

The End of Death

What does Jesus’ resurrection mean for me?

God’s Response

Jesus looked up to heaven and said, “Father, thank you for hearing me. You always hear me, but I said it out loud for the sake of all these people standing here, so that they will believe you sent me.” Then Jesus shouted, “Lazarus, come out!” And the dead man came out, his hands and feet bound in graveclothes, his face wrapped in a headcloth. Jesus told them, “Unwrap him and let him go!” John 11:41-44

Jesus showed that he had power over death by raising Lazarus. One day Lazarus would die again, but he could also be assured of being raised again—not to life on earth, but to eternity in heaven. Because Jesus rose from the dead with a new body, you can be assured of his power over death. This same power defeats Satan and guarantees that if you believe in Jesus you, too, will be resurrected one day with a new body and live forever in heaven. For Christians, the Resurrection is everything!

This Is Promising

If Christ has not been raised, then your faith is useless and you are still guilty of your sins. 1 Corinthians 15:17
