What is eternal life going to be like?

God’s Response

Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever. Revelation 21:3-4

Eternity is not an extension of life here on earth, where you suffer, grieve, and feel hurt. Instead, God promises something new. He will restore this earth to be the way he once created it—as a beautiful place with no sin, sorrow, or pain. You will live in the world you long for that is without evil and suffering. God created humans for this earth, so the new earth will have a lot of similarities to this one, but it will be better and more amazing in every way. You will be in God’s presence, forever filled with joy. You don’t have to worry about strumming a harp on some cloud. There will be plenty to do that will be fun, fulfilling, and purposeful.

This Is Promising

No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him. 1 Corinthians 2:9
