The Dilemma Of Doubt

When I’m struggling in my Christian life and have doubts, does it mean I have less faith?

God’s Response

How long, O LORD, must I call for help? But you do not listen! . . . You do not come to save. Must I forever see these evil deeds? Why must I watch all this misery? Wherever I look, I see destruction and violence. Habakkuk 1:2-3

I will climb up to my watchtower and stand at my guardpost. There I will wait to see what the LORD says and how he will answer my complaint. Habakkuk 2:1

Habakkuk saw injustice and evil all around him. He wondered why God did not come to save his nation. Did he doubt God? Perhaps. Your doubts don’t mean that you lack faith. They mean that you’re human and don’t understand all that God does. Take your doubts to him, knowing that he may not choose to explain everything to you. Let your doubts help your faith to grow; don’t let them snuff it out.

This Is Promising

The LORD replied, “Look around at the nations; look and be amazed! For I am doing something in your own day, something you wouldn’t believe even if someone told you about it.” Habakkuk 1:5
