How much faith must I have?

God’s Response

The LORD took Abram outside and said to him, “Look up into the sky and count the stars if you can. That’s how many descendants you will have!” And Abram believed the LORD, and the LORD counted him as righteous because of his faith. Genesis 15:5-6

It was by faith that Abraham obeyed when God called him to leave home and go to another land that God would give him as his inheritance. He went without knowing where he was going. Hebrews 11:8

Faith is not a matter of size or quantity. Abraham believed and obeyed. Did he worry? Did he doubt? Did he second-guess himself at times? Probably. But his radical faith led him to live a radical life that was sold out to God. It is not the size of your faith but the size of the One in whom you believe that makes the difference.

This Is Promising

I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, “Move from here to there,” and it would move. Nothing would be impossible. Matthew 17:20
