Something Good

Something Good

Can God bring something good out of my failure?

God’s Response

People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy. Proverbs 28:13

God’s discipline is always good for us, so that we might share in his holiness. No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening—it’s painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way. Hebrews 12:10-11

Failure offers an opportunity to examine yourself. Perhaps a sin still controls you more than it should and needs to be dealt with. Perhaps this failure in one area of life is God leading you in another direction. Don’t give in to the temptation to blame others. Instead, put your energy into discovering what God wants to teach you through this. Any discipline you may have to endure can help you grow more mature in your faith, and that should be one of your most important goals.

This Is Promising

God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God. Romans 8:28
