Success Secret

Success Secret

What is true success in God’s eyes?

God’s Response

“Son of man,” he said, “I am sending you to the nation of Israel, a rebellious nation that has rebelled against me. They and their ancestors have been rebelling against me to this very day. They are a stubborn and hard-hearted people. But I am sending you to say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says!’ And whether they listen or refuse to listen—for remember, they are rebels—at least they will know they have had a prophet among them. . . . But they won’t listen, for they are completely rebellious!” Ezekiel 2:3-5, 7

Those who choose to listen will listen, but those who refuse will refuse, for they are rebels. Ezekiel 3:27

If you looked at Ezekiel’s ministry, you wouldn’t say he was a great success. People didn’t listen to him, and he seems to have had very little effect on his nation. Yet the Bible pictures Ezekiel as a success because he was obedient to God—a whole book in the Bible tells his story! True success is not how much money you make, how famous you become, how much you accomplish, or even how many converts you have. True success is being obedient to God. When you are obedient, you accomplish all that he wants you to do, and that is enough.

This Is Promising

Our goal is to please him. 2 Corinthians 5:9
