Showers Of Mercy

Showers of Mercy

How does God show me his mercy?

God’s Response

He forgives all my sins. . . . He redeems me from death. . . . He fills my life with good things. Psalm 103:3-5

The God of compassion and mercy! I am slow to anger and filled with unfailing love and faithfulness. Exodus 34:6

God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life. Ephesians 2:4-5

Mercy has been defined as “not giving a person the punishment he or she deserves.” God showers mercy on you each day. He is slow to get angry over your sins, he offers you a way out from the eternal consequences of sin, and he shows you unfailing love no matter what you have done. When you pray for forgiveness, you ask for what you do not deserve, but God gives it to you anyway. It’s almost too good to believe, but when you take this step and trust in God’s mercy, you’ll experience it every day.

This Is Promising

Once you had no identity as a people; now you are God’s people. Once you received no mercy; now you have received God’s mercy. 1 Peter 2:10
