Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Colossians 3:12-13

God’s mercy toward us shows us how we should extend mercy to others. Be quick to forgive, to be kind, to be generous in love—even when others don’t deserve it. A willingness to show mercy and compassion toward others shows that you understand and appreciate the mercy and compassion God has shown you. It cost him the life of his Son. What will it cost you to show some mercy and compassion today?
