The Bible is only boring if you expect it to be. You can make your reading exciting by reading smaller portions and taking the time to consider what you read. Try to imagine what it would have been like to live at the time it was written. Try to put yourself into the stories and events you read. Does something in the reading bring you hope or comfort? Is there a promise you can claim? Is there a life principle you can take to heart? The miracle of the Bible is that it has general truths that apply to all people but that also apply uniquely to your specific life. God has written the Bible to everyone, and also just to you. Make the Bible a journey of discovery to see what God is saying to you.
