Out Of Your Mouth

Out of Your Mouth

Do my words really matter?

God’s Response

If you claim to be religious but don’t control your tongue, you are fooling yourself, and your religion is worthless. James 1:26

I tell you this, you must give an account on judgment day for every idle word you speak. The words you say will either acquit you or condemn you. Matthew 12:36-37

A gentle answer deflects anger, but harsh words make tempers flare. Proverbs 15:1

What comes out of your mouth shows what is in your heart. Your words show what kind of person you really are. Criticism, gossip, flattery, lying, and profanity are not only “word” problems, but “heart” problems as well. Being more careful with your words isn’t enough. You must first have a change of heart, and then good, kind, and healing words will follow.

This Is Promising

Wise words are more valuable than much gold and many rubies. Proverbs 20:15
