Made Holy

Made Holy

How is it possible for me to be holy?

God’s Response

Through the death of Christ in his physical body . . . he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault. Colossians 1:22

Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. Ephesians 1:4

Christ made us . . . pure and holy. 1 Corinthians 1:30

When you became a Christian, God made you holy by forgiving your sins. He looks at you as though you had never sinned, but while he sees you as holy, you are not perfect. You must still work each day to become more like Jesus, because that is our goal on earth. You become sanctified—made holy—through believing and obeying the Word of God. Daily application of the Bible has a purifying effect on our minds and hearts. You grow toward holiness, but you will only be completely holy when you get to heaven.

This Is Promising
