Growing Up
Growing Up
I still feel like a kid sometimes. How can I be more mature?
God’s Response
Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity. 1 Timothy 4:12
Let us stop going over the basic teachings about Christ again and again. Let us go on instead and become mature in our understanding. Hebrews 6:1
You are still young, but you don’t need to wait until you’re a certain age to be wise or mature. You can be more mature in your faith by constantly learning—through Bible study and fellowship, by prayer, obedience, listening to older believers, and learning from your life experiences. When you do these things, you will be an example to others no matter how young you are or how immature you feel. Some of history’s wisest decisions and greatest accomplishments came from young people.
This Is Promising
When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things. 1 Corinthians 13:11
