Giving The Real Scoop

Giving the Real Scoop

Will people listen to my advice?

God’s Response

As Samuel grew up, the LORD was with him, and everything Samuel said proved to be reliable. 1 Samuel 3:19

Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Philippians 4:8

Most people are attracted to godly wisdom. While our ungodly friends may not identify it as God’s wisdom, they will want it because it makes so much sense. People listened to Samuel because he had something important to say. This was the case because Samuel had a good adviser—the Lord God. Don’t use advice as an excuse to lecture on your point of view. Pray about what you want to say and do your best to provide God’s point of view from his Word. Then your words will make all the sense in the world.

This Is Promising

The words of the godly encourage many, but fools are destroyed by their lack of common sense. Proverbs 10:21
