Drugs

Drugs

What does the Bible say about drugs?

God’s Response

They promise freedom, but they themselves are slaves of sin and corruption. For you are a slave to whatever controls you. 2 Peter 2:19

Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

Although the Bible doesn’t talk about drugs as we know them today, it does talk about not being enslaved to anything by giving it control over your life. Experimenting with drugs leads to addiction, and whatever has control over you is your master. Addicts have given control of their lives over to a harsh master that will destroy them. To honor God, let him be master of your life, and keep your body pure so that you can be used by him.

This Is Promising

Whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31
