Should I be in a Bible study or can I just read the Bible alone?

Meanwhile, a Jew named Apollos . . . had been taught the way of the Lord, and he taught others about Jesus with an enthusiastic spirit and with accuracy. However, he knew only about John’s baptism. When Priscilla and Aquila heard him preaching boldly in the synagogue, they took him aside and explained the way of God even more accurately. Acts 18:24-26

When you see a good movie or read a good book, it is natural to want to talk about it with your friends. The Bible contains the greatest story ever written, and it is meant to be read and talked about in community. You should keep reading the Bible on your own, but if you have the opportunity to study the Bible in a small group, take advantage of it. You can learn from other believers, gain or offer new insights, and challenge one another to action and accountability. In addition, as with Apollos, there may be things you don’t understand that others can teach you.
