Prayer Time

Prayer Time

What is prayer and why is it important?

God’s Response

The next morning, Jesus got up and went out to an isolated place to pray. Mark 1:35

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Philippians 4:6

The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. James 5:16

We always thank God for all of you and pray for you constantly. 1 Thessalonians 1:2

Why should you pray? Because prayer changes things! It changes the one who prays and it can change what is prayed for. Although God is all-powerful and all-knowing, he has chosen to let us help him change the world through our prayers. How this works is a mystery to us because of our limited understanding, but it is a reality. Why, then, do we spend so little time in prayer? Jesus spent time alone praying to his Father in heaven, modeling the importance of prayer for us as well.

This Is Promising

The LORD is close to all who call on him, yes, to all who call on him in truth. Psalm 145:18
