Attitude Check

Attitude Check

My summer job is really boring. How can I have a better attitude at work?

God’s Response

A wise youth harvests in the summer, but one who sleeps during harvest is a disgrace. Proverbs 10:5

Make it your goal to live a quiet life, minding your own business and working with your hands. . . . Then people who are not Christians will respect the way you live, and you will not need to depend on others. 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12

What if God hired you for your summer job? Would that change your perspective a bit? Well, he has! God has put you in your job—not just to help meet your financial needs, but also so that you might be a witness for him by how you act and how hard you work. He’s undoubtedly preparing you for something more in the future, but he wants to see how you handle things now. See your summer job as God’s opportunity for you. God has placed you where you are right now, so find out why.

This Is Promising

Whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father. Colossians 3:17
