April Fools

April Fools

The Bible talks about foolishness. How can I avoid being a fool?

God’s Response

Stop deceiving yourselves. If you think you are wise by this world’s standards, you need to become a fool to be truly wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness to God. 1 Corinthians 3:18-19

Yes, a person is a fool to store up earthly wealth but not have a rich relationship with God. Luke 12:21

The answer to this question depends on whether you want to avoid being considered a fool by God’s standards or by the world’s definition. The Bible says that a fool does not consider the consequences of his or her actions. A fool never learns from his or her mistakes, and a fool does not listen to good advice. However, when you sincerely try to follow God’s blueprint for life, you will have deep inner peace and joy, as well as the assurance that you are making your life count. The so-called wise people of the world may think you are foolish to live this way, but true wisdom is found by investing your time and energy in what will last forever.
