How do I proceed when a task seems impossible to finish?

God’s Response

Sanballat was very angry when he learned that we were rebuilding the wall. He flew into a rage and mocked the Jews, saying in front of his friends and the Samarian army officers, “What does this bunch of poor, feeble Jews think they are doing?” Nehemiah 4:1-2

On October 2 the wall was finally finished—just fifty-two days after we had begun. When our enemies and the surrounding nations heard about it, they were frightened and humiliated. They realized that this work had been done with the help of our God. Nehemiah 6:15-16

Sometimes you’ll need to be creative to get around obstacles. Sometimes you’ll need to ignore them and sometimes you’ll need to pray your way through them. Seemingly impossible tasks—such as building the wall of Jerusalem—are often accomplished by laying one small stone at a time. Although it may seem that your best efforts result in poor outcomes, remember that when God wants a job done, it will get done regardless of the obstacles.

God’s Promise

I am sure that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on that day when Christ Jesus comes back again. Philippians 1:6
