Confession

Confession

What happens when I confess my sin?

God’s Response

I confessed all my sins to you and stopped trying to hide them. I said to myself, “I will confess my rebellion to the LORD.” And you forgave me! All my guilt is gone. Psalm 32:5

So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1

Restore to me again the joy of your salvation, and make me willing to obey you. Psalm 51:12

Confession is the act of recognizing your sins before God so he can forgive them; it indicates your desire to change your ways. Sin separates you from a holy God and confession brings you back into relationship with him. When you confess your sin, you agree that something wrong needs to be made right and that a damaged relationship with God needs to be restored.

God’s Promise

This is my blood, which seals the covenant between God and his people. It is poured out to forgive the sins of many. Matthew 26:28
