Commitment
Commitment
How can I show my commitment to God?
God’s Response
Give your bodies to God. Romans 12:1-2
Jesus called out to them, “Come, be my disciples, and I will show you how to fish for people!” And they left their nets at once and went with him. Matthew 4:19-20
If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God whom we serve is able to save us. . . . But even if he doesn’t, Your Majesty can be sure that we will never serve your gods. Daniel 3:17-18
Commitment is more than intellectual agreement; it involves giving your whole self—body, soul, emotions, and mind—to God for his use. Commitment requires a decision of the mind followed by an act of the will that you will follow through regardless of the difficulty or the cost. Commitment to God can be costly, but God promises to share great blessings with you if you are faithful in your commitment to him.
God’s Promise
If we are faithful to the end . . . we will share in all that belongs to Christ. Hebrews 3:14
