Church

Church

Do I really need to go to church?

God’s Response

The church is his body; it is filled by Christ, who fills everything everywhere with his presence. Ephesians 1:23

The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up only one body. So it is with the body of Christ. Some of us are Jews, some are Gentiles. 1 Corinthians 12:12-13

Let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage and warn each other. Hebrews 10:25

All believers together form God’s family, and only by meeting together can we bond. The church exists in part to equip God’s people to do God’s work and to encourage them in their faith. The church is where Christians learn to work together in unity, reconciling differences among themselves in a way that is only possible in Christ by his Spirit. When we meet together, we can build each other up and help each other. The church needs you, because the body of Christ is not complete unless you are there.

God’s Promise

Upon this rock I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it. Matthew 16:18
