Why is it important for me to be involved in the church?
God’s Response
You are citizens along with all of God’s holy people. You are members of God’s family. . . . We who believe are carefully joined together, becoming a holy temple for the Lord. Ephesians 2:19, 21
Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ’s body. We are all parts of his one body, and each of us has different work to do. And since we are all one body in Christ . . . each of us has the ability to do certain things well. Romans 12:4-6
God has given each of us gifts—some of us are great organizers and administrators, whereas others are gifted musicians, teachers, or dishwashers. When everyone in the congregation uses their gifts to serve, the church becomes a powerful force for good, a strong witness for Jesus, and a mighty army to combat Satan’s attacks against God’s people in your community.
God’s Promise
What good fellowship we enjoyed as we walked together to the house of God. Psalm 55:14
