What does it mean to become like Christ?
God’s Response
I myself no longer live, but Christ lives in me. Galatians 2:20
All of us have had that veil removed so that we can be mirrors that brightly reflect the glory of the Lord. And as the Spirit of the Lord works within us, we become more and more like him and reflect his glory even more. 2 Corinthians 3:18
We will hold to the truth in love, becoming more and more in every way like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. Ephesians 4:15
When we live with people, we sometimes become like them. We adopt certain figures of speech or have accents like theirs. We sometimes begin to dress alike, or even think the way they do. The same is true when we live with Christ in us. Soon, our speech becomes gentle and kind, our face mirrors his joy, our attitudes and motives become more pure, and our actions are more service oriented. Can others tell that Christ lives in you?
God’s Promise
I am sure that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on that day when Christ Jesus comes back again. Philippians 1:6
