Attitude
Attitude
What kinds of attitudes does God want from me?
God’s Response
Your attitude should be the same that Christ Jesus had. Philippians 2:5
Always be joyful. Keep on praying. No matter what happens, always be thankful, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
While others will know you are a Christian by your actions, God seems especially concerned with your attitudes, probably because your attitudes reflect your heart. Since you are called to be joyful and thankful, your attitudes are not always directly linked to your current emotional condition. Rather, your attitude is a choice of direction. You have complete confidence that you are moving toward eternal life in heaven—no wonder your attitude is one of joy and gratitude.
God’s Promise
The Kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. If you serve Christ with this attitude, you will please God. Romans 14:17-18
