Use Street Teams
Use Street Teams
John said to Jesus, “Teacher, we saw someone using your name to cast out demons, but we told him to stop because he wasn’t in our group.”
“Don’t stop him!” Jesus said, “No one who performs a miracle in my name will soon be able to speak evil of me.” Mark 9:38-39
A marketing strategy known as “street teams” uses loosely organized groups of people to unofficially represent an organization within their social networks.
Street teams are effective because the representative (or captain) is motivated by a strong affinity with the product rather than by monetary reward.
Street-team captains are intensely loyal to their products. Marketers use words such as advocate and evangelist to describe them.
Jesus knew the value of people who were tuned in to his mission but operated outside of his “official” team. He encouraged them to strike out on their own to spread the news.
You probably have a group of customers or fans who would be effective evangelists for your mission. Encourage them to perform a miracle in your name.
