Tell People What You Do
Tell People What You Do
No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. Matthew 5:15
Take a moment to consider the benefit people receive when they use your organization’s service or product.
Do you help them . . .
run faster?
live healthier?
save money?
complete a task?
navigate rough water?
If you provide real value to people, you are obligated to tell them about it. God gave you a unique gift, and he expects you to share it with others.
Hiding your lamp under a basket restricts the benefits to people who happen to cross your path by accident.
Jesus knew the value of his message; he encouraged his leadership team to take a proactive role in telling others about it.
If what you are doing can give light to people in darkness, step forward and let them know.
Don’t shy away from publicity that will share your good ideas with those who can benefit from them.
