Strengthen Your Weakest Link

Strengthen Your Weakest Link

So take a new grip with your tired hands and strengthen your weak knees. Mark out a straight path for your feet so that those who are weak and lame will not fall but become strong. Hebrews 12:12-13

Leading people often requires you to stop talking about the big picture while you guide your team along the difficult paths that lie right at their feet.

Sometimes immediate issues are so overwhelming that folks are discouraged by talk of vision, future, and long-range goals. They don’t know how to accomplish today’s tasks, and thinking about tomorrow makes them weary.

The Jewish Christians to whom the book of Hebrews was written were hurting. They had been struggling longer than any other group of believers, and the light at the end of their tunnel wasn’t shining brightly. This passage urges their leaders to pay special attention to their weakest members.

Perhaps your team isn’t making the kind of progress you’d like. Maybe they are falling behind. Your best solution may be to put all the vision language on hold and help them get past the obstacles in their path.

Strengthen your weakest link.
