Produce Good Fruit

Produce Good Fruit

Yes, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, so you can identify people by their actions. Matthew 7:20

We all have an image and an identity.

Identity is how we see ourselves in the mirror. Image is how others see us. It’s best to keep these two closely aligned. You want people to see the same thing in you that you see in the mirror.

Jesus understood the value of a good image, and he tells us that there’s no way to fake it.

You can’t trick people into thinking you’re wise if you do foolish things. It’s impossible to convince the board of directors you’re able to make smart choices if you’re always making mistakes.

Do people think you’re always late for meetings? Try getting there on time. If you want them to respect your ideas, say something intelligent.

People will forgive an occasional bad day, but if you sense a pattern in their responses, it’s probably caused by some persistant behavior on your part.

Sometimes people have a bad hair day, but usually they just have lousy haircuts.
