Know How To Recharge

Know How to Recharge

Before daybreak the next morning, Jesus got up and went out to an isolated place to pray. Mark 1:35

Some of us are introverts and some of us are extroverts. We have many other qualities, but we all fit into one of these two categories. Being one or the other has little to do with being shy or outgoing. It pertains to how we recharge our emotional batteries.

People are often surprised to learn that I’m a raging introvert. After leading a large group discussion, I am emotionally drained and need some time alone to recharge. I like people, but I get my strength from solitude.

Perhaps you’re an extrovert who draws energy from being with others. It’s important to know which works for you, so you can schedule solitude or social time into your day.

Jesus found time to be alone. He was not antisocial, although his wanting to be alone may have raised a few eyebrows in his day.

Who did he think he was, going off by himself all the time?
