Orient New Employees

Orient New Employees

This is a record of the ancestors of Jesus the Messiah, a descendant of David and of Abraham. Matthew 1:1

Janet took a job at a good company. After checking in with the human resources department, she was directed to the president’s office for what she thought would be a brief greeting.

“Welcome to ABC Widgets, Janet. I’m Bob Widget. We’re glad you’re here. Before you start work, we want you to know all about us. It’s my job to give you a tour of our company museum.”

Bob led Janet to a room filled with memorabilia from the company’s impressive past. Janet learned that the firm had been far more successful than her research had shown.

A list of former employees was a Who’s Who of excellence in her field. She had big shoes to fill.

Like all Jewish kids of his day, Jesus knew where he had come from. He had a sense of who he was because he knew who had gone before him.

Do you give your new hires a sufficient background on their first day?
