Motivate Others To Good Works

Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. Hebrews 10:24

The company was tremendously profitable, yet the amount budgeted for charitable contributions seemed paltry compared to our bottom line. Leaders wanted to do more but couldn’t decide where the money should go.

Someone had the idea of starting a contest among the various departments to see which of them could do the most good with a sizeable sum placed under their control.

The departments were told, “Take this money and do something good with it, locally or globally. The decision is yours. We’d like you to share regular updates, and at the end of the year, we will all vote on whose project was most successful.”

The results were amazing. Each department adopted a different cause and dedicated their efforts to “acts of love and good works.” Employee morale was at an all-time high, and it was a better place to work.

Do you put your money where your heart is? Perhaps you can add “acts of love and good works” to the standards against which you measure your organization’s success.
