Live Abundantly

Jacob worked seven years to pay for Rachel. But his love for her was so strong that it seemed to him but a few days. Genesis 29:20

There is tremendous wisdom in the saying, “Love what you do; do what you love.”

God did not intend for our work to be a drag. He made us each unique and gave us a purpose so that we could experience life in all its fullness, as Jesus promised (see John 10:10).

The secret is to live the life God intended for you, using the talents he gave you and seeking his purpose. When you finally stop trying to fit into a box you’ve made for yourself and begin to focus on God’s plan for you, your fatigue and lousy attitude will begin to fade away.

Jacob worked seven years for Laban in exchange for Rachel’s hand. I’m sure he was physically tired at the end of each day, but his attitude didn’t suffer because he had a purpose. Jacob had his eye on the prize, and the days flew by.
