Have A Unified Purpose

Have a Unified Purpose

In early autumn, when the Israelites had settled in their towns, all the people assembled in Jerusalem with a unified purpose. Ezra 3:1

The Israelites had just been through a terrible chapter in their history. After being exiled for a generation to a foreign land, a remnant were now returning home to rebuild their capital city.

Everyone pitched in on this community-wide effort. Adversity hadn’t destroyed their spirits, but strengthened them.

The catalyst for this renewed resolve was a leader who refused to let the current situation destroy his vision for the future.

Perhaps your organization is facing tough times. Don’t lose sight of your vision. Assess your situation and plan to fix the problem.

Always keep your eye on the prize.

Rebuilding the city wasn’t easy. There were many obstacles along the way, but the people were encouraged by a leader who helped them see what would result from their hard work. They flourished under his leadership.

There’s nothing like adversity to align a group of people on a mission.
