Give God Your Worries

Give God Your Worries

Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. 1 Peter 5:7

Leaders have a lot to worry about.

People are counting on you to make the right decisions.

Folks say it’s lonely at the top and often it is. But how can you be lonely with all those people looking to you to make the right move?

In the introduction to his wonderful book Leadership Prayers, Richard Kriegbaum speaks of a leader’s relationship to God:

“Leaders do not pray to inform God of what is happening. He already knows. And they do not pray to get him to do what they want. He already wants what is best for everyone involved.”a

What I read between Richard Kriegbaum’s lines is that God is aching for you to bring him your worries. He knows what’s on your mind and in your heart, and he has cleared his appointment calendar to spend quality one-on-one time with you.

God inspired Peter to include these words in his letter. Now he wants you to take him at his word.
