Finish What You Start

Wow—I always thought David killed Goliath with a stone and a slingshot.

It is very difficult for some leaders to follow a project all the way to the end. The more visionary and future focused a person becomes, the harder it is for them to stay with a task until it’s completed.

Be aware of how you introduce new ideas to your team.

You may thrive on vision, but many of the people you lead do not. They find satisfaction in getting a job done, and they don’t appreciate being pulled off a task before it’s finished. They’re okay with looking at a new idea, but they want to know when they’ll be able to complete the one they have already started.

How good are you at allowing people to finish what they have started?

Knocking the giant down is only the first step.
